Yangju City Anticipates Faster Civil Complaint Processing and Disaster Response
Real-Time Monitoring of Around 5,000 CCTVs via Map-Based System
Improved Administrative Speed and Reduced On-Site Visits Expected

The introduction of this system was designed to overcome the limitations of the previous work process, which required public officials to visit sites in person when responding to civil complaints or disasters, by enabling real-time monitoring of sites from the office using CCTV.
The city has implemented a system that allows users to select and view approximately 5,000 CCTVs installed throughout the city based on their locations on a GIS map. In addition, 16 new monitoring terminals have been installed in the Disaster Situation Room so that the system can be immediately utilized for general administrative tasks unrelated to disaster situations.
In particular, the system is open to all employees, allowing it to be widely used for various administrative tasks such as checking civil complaint sites, facility inspections, and environmental management, even during normal times.
This is expected to not only speed up administrative processing but also reduce costs such as travel expenses.
An official from Yangju City stated, "With the introduction of this GIS-based CCTV system, any public official can now immediately check sites and respond to civil complaints," adding, "We expect it to be a great help in providing citizens with fast and accurate administrative services that they can truly experience."
The official further added, "We will continue to actively adopt smart technologies to realize proactive and efficient administration centered on citizens."
