On April 18, Gwangju Donggu District announced that it will implement the "2025 Apartment Complex Management Support Project" to create a safe and pleasant residential environment in multi-family housing complexes.
The support is available for aging apartment complexes that have been in use for more than 20 years since their inspection date. The district will provide up to 15 million won per complex to cover management costs for common facilities such as internal roads, security lights, and fence maintenance. However, apartment complexes that have received support within the past three years are excluded.
The selection of project sites will be based on the evaluation criteria outlined in the Donggu District Apartment Complex Support Ordinance, which includes quantitative assessments such as the number of years since completion, the proportion of units at the national housing scale, and the total number of households, as well as qualitative assessments such as urgency, effectiveness, and necessity.
Apartment complexes wishing to participate in the management support project must prepare the required documents posted in the notices section of the Donggu District Office website by April 25, and submit them either in person to the Housing Policy Division of the Donggu District Office or by mail.
Im Taek, head of the Donggu District Office, stated, "We will continue to make efforts to enhance the welfare of apartment residents and to create a safe and pleasant residential environment."
