This round of activities focuses on environmental protection in response to the climate crisis and on accompanying the local community. The Kyobo Securities Dream Volunteer Group will put the values of sharing and mutual growth into practice through a variety of social contribution initiatives, including eco-friendly plogging, resource recycling, volunteering at welfare facilities, and a blood donation campaign.
On April 15, about 30 employees used their lunch break to participate in plogging at Yeouido Park, picking up litter while taking a walk and spending time protecting both nature and their health.
In addition, ahead of Family Month, the company collaborated with the Busanjingu Volunteer Center to make upcycled carnation flowers that embody the value of resource recycling, expressing respect and care for the elderly.
Kyobo Securities plans to extend a helping hand to neighbors in need by providing practical support, such as environmental improvements, meal delivery, and goods donations, to welfare facilities in the Seoul metropolitan area and other regions through June. In particular, the company will also implement tailored volunteer programs for the future generation of the local community, including creating study rooms for children from vulnerable groups and improving the environment of toy libraries.
A Kyobo Securities representative stated, "We plan to expand a variety of programs that employees can voluntarily participate in," adding, "We will faithfully fulfill our social responsibility through sustainable activities for the local community and the environment."
