At the agricultural and specialty products section, 32 booths will offer seasonal Namwon produce such as paprika and lettuce, as well as processed goods like Gim Bugak and rice flour bread at a 10% discount. Visitors can also enjoy black pork barbecue tastings, lettuce planting experiences, a family cooking contest, and a rice processing photo zone.
In the One Food zone, more than 20 types of passion fruit processed products?including passion fruit sandwiches and passion fruit energy bars?will be available for purchase. There will also be a passion fruit cooking class, fresh cream bread tasting, mini-games, and a photo zone featuring the Baekhyangi character.
In addition, the city will operate a Namwon loach event zone, highlighting the ingredient used in Namwon’s signature dish, Chueotang. Activities will include loach catching experiences, bulgogi tastings, Chueotang samplings, and aquaponics planter making, all as part of a large-scale campaign to promote Namwon loach to tourists.
The festival was well received by many citizens and visitors last year, and this year it will again feature Namwon’s unique agricultural and specialty products under the “3Go” theme: EatGo, PlayGo, BuyGo.
Kim Yeonju, head of the Namwon Agricultural Technology Center, said, “Through the agricultural and specialty products festival held alongside the Chunhyang Festival, we will focus on promoting Namwon’s unique strengths.”
