Personnel Management Ministry to Recruit 157 Private Sector Experts in AI, Big Data, and Disaster Management as National Civil Servants

Recruiting 40 for Grade 5 and 117 for Grade 7

This year, 157 professionals from the private sector will be recruited as national civil servants in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data analysis, and disaster and safety management.

The Ministry of Personnel Management announced on April 18 that it has posted the "2025 National Civil Service Grade 5 and 7 Private Sector Recruitment Examination Plan" on the Cyber National Examination Center website.

This year, a total of 157 positions will be filled: 40 positions in 34 fields for Grade 5, and 117 positions in 63 fields for Grade 7.

The main positions to be filled include AI and big data analysis, disaster and safety management, healthcare policy, legislation and litigation, medical services, pharmaceutical affairs, agricultural research, food and drug risk assessment, and correctional clinical psychology.

Applicants for both Grade 5 and Grade 7 must meet at least one of the requirements related to work experience, academic degree, or certification in the relevant field.

Applications must be submitted online through the Cyber National Examination Center from June 2 to June 13. After that, the process will include a written exam (July 19), document screening (September), and interviews (November), with the final successful candidates to be announced in December.

The "Private Sector Recruitment Examination" was introduced to enhance openness and expertise in the civil service by bringing in private sector experts with field experience. It was first implemented for Grade 5 positions in 2011 and expanded to Grade 7 in 2015. As of this year, a total of 2,318 private sector experts are working in more than 40 central government agencies.
