On the morning of April 18, Hongseong County announced that the "Running People's Ombudsman" event, held at the county office auditorium, was successfully conducted.

The "Running People's Ombudsman," hosted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission and co-organized by Hongseong County, is a mobile on-site consultation program. It tours various regions with the participation of related organizations at all levels, listening to and addressing the daily grievances and civil complaints of local residents in person to seek solutions.

At the event in Hongseong on this day, experts from related organizations?including investigators from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, Korea Legal Aid Corporation, Korea Consumer Agency, Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation, and Korea Inclusive Finance Agency?participated to provide consultations in a variety of fields. These included administrative complaints, legal counseling, consumer damages, real estate and cadastral matters, and damages related to inclusive finance.

In particular, the People's Ombudsman provided one-on-one customized consultations for daily legal issues or the grievances of financially vulnerable groups. Civil complaints that could be resolved on-site were addressed immediately, while some complex complaints are planned to be followed up continuously through coordination with central government agencies. This is expected to be of great help in resolving local residents' issues.

An official from the county stated, "This People's Ombudsman event was a valuable opportunity to communicate directly with residents on-site and listen to a wide range of grievances," adding, "For complaints that require follow-up, we will thoroughly analyze the consultation results to ensure prompt subsequent action, and we will continue to manage matters that require collaboration with related agencies."

Meanwhile, Hongseong County plans to promptly review the chronic grievances and complaints received during this People's Ombudsman event and actively pursue follow-up measures that residents can directly experience.
