"June 3 Presidential Election Must Remove Lee Jaemyung from Power"
On April 18, the People Power Party responded to the Board of Audit and Inspection's announcement that the Moon Jaein administration had distorted housing, income, and employment statistics by calling it "an unprecedented case of undermining the national order." The party declared, "We will ensure a thorough investigation and hold those responsible strictly accountable under the law."
Kwon Seongdong, floor leader of the People Power Party, criticized at a party policy meeting held at the National Assembly that day, "There are as many as 102 cases of statistical manipulation related to housing prices confirmed by the Board of Audit and Inspection," and added, "The people are not only shocked but outraged by the Moon administration's criminal acts undermining the national order."

The previous day, the Board of Audit and Inspection concluded that, from January 2018 to October 2021, during the Moon Jaein administration, the Blue House and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport instructed the Korea Real Estate Board to distort statistics in order to lower the apartment price change rate.
Regarding this, Floor Leader Kwon stated, "The manipulation of real estate statistics was carried out under blatant threats such as, 'If you do not cooperate, your organization and budget will be eliminated. If you do not align with Democratic Party policy, submit your resignation,'" and pointed out, "The Korea Real Estate Board even went so far as to manipulate sample prices or completely replace the entire sample set."
Kwon further claimed, "Manipulation was also uncovered to conceal the failure of the Moon administration's signature policy, income-led growth," and argued, "Due to the Democratic Party's policy failures, housing prices rose, incomes fell, and employment became unstable."
He continued, "The Democratic Party concealed all its failures through statistical manipulation, building a tower of lies on top of the people's suffering," and criticized, "When that tower of lies finally began to collapse, the Democratic Party impeached Choi Jaehae, the Chairman of the Board of Audit and Inspection."
Furthermore, he asserted, "The Lee Jaemyung faction is plotting a political scheme to seize power, cover up their past crimes, and evade investigation and punishment," and emphasized, "This presidential election must hold the Lee Jaemyung faction politically accountable and remove Lee Jaemyung from power." Kwon added, "The People Power Party will uphold justice together with the people," and pledged, "We will win this presidential election and block any attempts by the Lee Jaemyung faction to cover up their crimes."
Yoo Sangbum, a People Power Party lawmaker and secretary of the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee, also delivered strong criticism of the Moon administration that day, stating, "Attempting to conceal policy failures by manipulating statistics is a clear act of deceiving the public and undermining state affairs." Yoo emphasized, "Former President Moon has remained completely silent without a single word of apology, even though this outrageous crime of statistical manipulation has been fully exposed," and added, "There is absolutely no reason to show leniency to anyone who used national statistics solely to maintain power, even if that person is a former president."
