First in the Industry: Non-Face-to-Face Activation Now Available for Teenagers
Woori Bank officially launched its budget phone service combining finance and telecommunications, 'WooriWON Mobile,' on the 18th. Notably, it has attracted attention as the first in the budget phone industry to allow self-activation for teenagers under 18 through a non-face-to-face process.
'WooriWON Mobile' can be easily activated 100% non-face-to-face through the WooriWON Banking application (app) and a dedicated website. The process proceeds naturally like a conversation, enabling anyone to start the service easily, and applies a user-centered simple UX (user experience) to streamline the subscription procedure.
The plans are prepared in a total of 34 types, ranging from 5,000 KRW to the 30,000 KRW range per month, considering various customer needs. It offers lifestyle-tailored plans such as general plans, online video service (OTT) discount plans, and office worker plans with discounts applied based on salary transfer performance.
Customers who are main account holders with Woori Bank through salary transfers, pension product holdings, card usage, or those holding deposit products can receive discounts of up to 3,300 KRW per month depending on financial performance and the plan. For two months after activation, the maximum discount benefits can be received unconditionally. Additional data benefits are also provided when subscribing together with family or friends as a bundle. Furthermore, a high-interest savings product linked to telecommunications is scheduled to be launched in May, accelerating the provision of combined finance and telecommunications benefits.
Additionally, WooriWON Mobile enhances customer convenience by supporting consultation services through various channels such as a dedicated telecommunications customer center, artificial intelligence (AI) consultation bots, chatbots, talk consultations, and one-on-one inquiries, based on high reliability and strengthened security at the level of financial services.
Meanwhile, Woori Bank, together with Woori Card, also launched the 'WooriWON Mobile exclusive card.' When the telecommunications fee is automatically transferred using this card, customers can receive a billing discount of up to 25,000 KRW depending on the previous month's usage performance.
Various events are also being held to celebrate the service launch. These include an opening commemorative prize draw event, a welcome gift event for new subscribers, and events offering benefits worth up to 300,000 KRW for writing reviews after activation or recommending friends.
