Daejeon Transportation Corporation Offers Free Rides for Mobility-Impaired Vehicles on Disabled Persons Day Transportation Assistance Vehicle for Mobility-Impaired / Daejeon Transportation Corporation

Daejeon Transportation Corporation announced that it will provide free rides for the 'Sarangnanum Call' transportation service for mobility-impaired individuals on April 20, in celebration of the 45th Day of Persons with Disabilities.


The eligible users include people with disabilities, seniors over 65 who use wheelchairs, and pregnant women who have pre-registered with the Daejeon Mobility Support Center for the Transportation Disadvantaged.


The free service will be available only within Daejeon from midnight to midnight on April 20.


To use the service, users can apply through the call center, the official website, or the Sarangnanum Call mobile app.


President Yeon Gyuyang stated, "We hope that this free transportation service, provided in celebration of the Day of Persons with Disabilities, will help enhance social participation and welfare for the transportation disadvantaged."


Meanwhile, Daejeon Transportation Corporation operates the Daejeon Mobility Support Center for the Transportation Disadvantaged, supported by city funds and lottery grants, to improve transportation convenience. The center operates a total of 381 vehicles, including 111 special vehicles equipped for wheelchairs, 40 dedicated rental taxis, and 230 voucher taxis, all available 24 hours a day for seniors, wheelchair users, pregnant women, and others in need.
