For 'Out-of-School' Children... National Health Insurance Service BNUK Branch Donates 30 Million Won in Social Contribution Funds

The Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of the National Health Insurance Service has generously donated 30 million KRW to support underprivileged youth in Busan.


The city of Busan (Mayor Park Hyungjoon) announced that at 4:30 PM on the 18th, a ceremony will be held in the conference room on the 7th floor of City Hall to deliver a social contribution fund to support vulnerable groups, in cooperation with the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of the National Health Insurance Service (Director Cho Junhee).


Attending the ceremony will be Lee Joonseung, Deputy Mayor for Administrative Affairs of Busan, Cho Junhee, Director of the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of the National Health Insurance Service, as well as heads of related facilities and about 10 others.


At the ceremony, the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of the National Health Insurance Service will deliver a social contribution fund of 30 million KRW to the Out-of-School Youth Support Center and youth shelters to support vulnerable groups.


The donated fund will be used for ▲supporting certification and education expenses for out-of-school youth ▲supporting education and medical expenses for youth shelters, among other purposes.


Cho Junhee, Director of the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of the National Health Insurance Service, stated, "We hope this social contribution fund will help empower at-risk youth toward independence and welfare, and we will continue to work together with the local community through communication and consideration."


Lee Joonseung, Deputy Mayor for Administrative Affairs of Busan, welcomed the support, saying, "The National Health Insurance Service's interest and assistance for at-risk youth will be a great help in their growth," and added, "With this support, the local welfare safety net has become even stronger."


The Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of the National Health Insurance Service has been supporting the Out-of-School Youth Support Center since 2019, and has recently been carrying out various social contribution projects to address welfare blind spots in the local community, such as supporting child care facilities.
