Operation of the 'Generative AI Power User Program'
Practical Expert Courses and Developer Programs
Galaxy 'Good Lock App' Features Inspired by Training Courses
Samsung Electronics announced that it is achieving work innovation results by strengthening the artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities of its employees.
According to the Samsung Electronics Newsroom on the 18th, Samsung Electronics has been operating the 'Generative AI Power User Program' since June last year to enable employees to actively utilize AI in their work.
This program is composed of four levels, ranging from basic generative AI usage methods to advanced courses where employees develop AI services themselves, depending on their AI utilization level. In particular, all employees in the Device Experience (DX) division completed the first and second levels, which cover basic understanding of generative AI and prompt engineering.

Furthermore, a practical expert course (levels 3-4) focused on developing generative AI services and applying them to work is also being operated. Through this course, Samsung Electronics encourages voluntary participation from employees and spreads an AI-based work innovation culture.
Samsung Electronics also runs AI-specialized programs for software developers. This training, consisting of four levels, provides a systematic roadmap from basic courses to AI expert courses, helping developers not only enhance their AI utilization capabilities but also develop AI technologies themselves.

Samsung Electronics’ AI education is also leading to tangible work outcomes. The Good Lock app for Galaxy smartphones, which is loved by many consumers, added a search function developed from ideas generated during the in-house AI training courses. Through internal AI education, developers became familiar with new development tools and applied new AI technologies to create better products and services.
AI education for designers is also being conducted. This training is structured to allow learning of essential tools and AI utilization methods required for each design role, including hands-on advanced courses such as AI-based image creation, editing, and UX (user experience) design applications. Additionally, through the 'Design AI Expert Course,' which involves completing practical tasks and obtaining certification, creativity and AI utilization capabilities are simultaneously enhanced.
Samsung Electronics stated, "We plan to continuously develop AI education to strengthen employees’ AI technical capabilities and establish an AI innovation culture."
