"Youth Employment Policy, I Have Something to Say Too"... Dongseo University and Busan Bukbu Employment and Labor Office Meeting

"I have something to say about youth employment policies."

Dongseo University (President Jang Je-guk) announced on the 18th that its University Job Plus Center, in collaboration with the Busan Northern Employment and Labor Office, held a 'Visiting Youth Employment Policy Discussion' at the Student Plaza on the 17th.

This discussion was attended by Min Gwangje, Head of the Busan Northern Employment and Labor Office of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Head of the Busan Northern Employment Welfare Plus Center, the Head of the Employment Support Team, and other related officials, as well as staff from the Dongseo University Job Plus Center.

They engaged in open conversation with six members of the Dongseo University Youth Hope Supporters, sharing the direction of youth employment policies and listening to the voices of young people on site.

This discussion, aimed at raising awareness of youth employment policies and directly gathering opinions from young people who are the actual policy beneficiaries, covered a wide range of topics.

The youth raised in-depth questions and opinions regarding the increasing importance of work experience in the current job market, the need to expand local internship opportunities, easier access to policy information, and the issue of information and opportunity gaps among local youth.

Min Gwangje emphasized, "If young people cannot find opportunities to work no matter how hard they try, there is no future for the country," adding that the government is preparing policies to provide more opportunities for youth.

He also requested, "However, if young people are not aware of these policies, they are meaningless. I hope the supporters will experience government policies firsthand and actively spread the word to those around them."

Jung Dowoon, Head of the Dongseo University Job Plus Center, stated, "This discussion was a meaningful opportunity for young people to participate as active stakeholders in policy," and added, "We will continue to actively promote youth employment policies and operate various career and employment support programs centered on student needs, in cooperation with the government and local communities, so that young people can have better job opportunities."
