Open Innovation Program Launched
Recruiting Startups in AI, Robotics, Noise Reduction, and Zero-Energy Technologies
Lotte Construction has been actively discovering promising startups to secure future technologies in the construction industry. Following the recent launch of recruitment for AI and robot-based technology startups, the company has now expanded its recruitment scope to include companies with noise reduction and zero-energy technologies.

According to Lotte Construction on the 18th, the ongoing open innovation program is divided into four main tracks. First, they are operating the '2025 1st S.Stage' in collaboration with the Seoul Center for Creative Economy and Innovation. Applications are open until May 2. They are recruiting startups in the fields of AI, spatial recognition technology, robots, and automation equipment. Selected companies will be provided with opportunities for technology proof of concept (PoC), commercialization funding, office space, and investment connections.
In a separate track with the Seoul Business Agency (Seoul Startup Hub Changdong), startups possessing AI-based automatic construction period calculation technology and orthophoto super-resolution technology are being recruited until April 27. Support includes PoC, co-working space, and follow-up funding connections.
Next, Lotte Construction has additionally launched the 'Startup Open Innovation Challenge 2025' in partnership with the Busan Center for Creative Economy and Innovation. Applications are open until the 23rd, seeking startups in a wide range of fields within apartment complexes, including ▲noise and vibration reduction technology ▲inter-floor noise resolution ▲noise and vibration measurement technology ▲construction site safety, quality, and collaboration tools. Two final teams will be selected and given collaboration opportunities.
Lotte Construction is also recruiting zero-energy building technology startups in cooperation with the Korea International Trade Association. Zero-energy buildings are architectural methods that minimize energy consumption in buildings and produce energy through renewable sources to bring energy usage close to '0'. Recruitment fields include ▲building maintenance optimization ▲energy production, storage, and utilization technologies ▲indoor environment improvement technologies. Applications are accepted until May 19. Selected companies will receive benefits such as on-site proof of concept opportunities at Lotte Construction sites, participation in open innovation events, and connections to investors. The Busan Center for Creative Economy and Innovation will also provide separate PoC support funds.
A Lotte Construction official stated, "We will continue to strengthen communication channels with startups and take the lead in creating a win-win environment where free collaboration is possible." Lotte Construction has been collaborating with startups since 2022 and held a demo day last December to publicly showcase the technologies and business potential of partner startups. Lotte affiliates, investors, and construction companies participated on-site, leading to follow-up discussions.
