Samhwa Paint and Korea Minting, Security Printing & ID Card Operating Corporation Join Hands for Joint Research and Development of Security Ink

Samhwa Paint has developed a high-performance security ink used in banknotes and gift certificates, and has launched an attack on the global security printing product market.

Samhwa Paint Industrial announced on the 18th that it has signed a joint research and development agreement with the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation Technology Research Institute for the "mass production experiment and advancement of polymer substrate security ink resin composition."

Through this agreement, the two companies agreed to cooperate in ▲rapid acquisition of effective technologies related to security ink ▲localization of new and existing domestic products ▲diversification and commercialization of security inks for export.

This collaboration is the second joint research and development following last year's "Research on the synthesis of new resin compositions for security ink." In the first joint research and development, a resin for security ink with enhanced adhesion and chemical resistance and a manufacturing method using it were developed, and related patents are currently pending.

Kim Won-kyung, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Samhwa Paint, said, "The overseas security ink market is one of the markets with high potential," adding, "We will enhance our global market responsiveness through cooperation with the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation."
