Hyundai Motor Company announced that three models ? the Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, and Tucson Hybrid ? received awards in the "2025 Best Hybrid and Electric Cars Awards" announced on the 16th (local time) by the U.S. news weekly magazine U.S. News & World Report.
The 2025 Best Hybrid and Electric Cars Awards are evaluated by editors of U.S. News & World Report, who assess a total of 115 electrified models based on criteria such as quality, efficiency, and value. Based on this, a total of 10 award-winning vehicles are selected across 5 categories each for hybrids and electric vehicles.
Among these, Hyundai was selected in 3 categories ? 2 for electric vehicles and 1 for hybrids ? achieving the highest number of awards for a complete car brand for the second consecutive year.
The Ioniq 5 was recognized as an electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) with balanced excellent performance and stable ride comfort, earning the title of "Best Electric SUV."
The Ioniq 6 received high praise for its top-level energy efficiency and single-charge driving range, as well as its user-friendly infotainment system, securing the "Best Electric Sedan" award.
The Tucson Hybrid was selected as the "Best Hybrid SUV" based on its sleek design, spaciousness, and respectable fuel economy.
The U.S. news weekly U.S. News & World Report has been publishing rankings and reviews of new cars sold in the United States since 2007. It holds annual automotive award ceremonies such as the Best Cars Awards and Best Customer Value Awards.
A Hyundai Motor Company representative stated, "We are proud to have our outstanding product competitiveness recognized through this award. We will do our best to provide customers with vehicles that offer the best product value and quality based on a diverse vehicle lineup in the increasingly competitive automotive market."
