'Hyundai Mobility Passport in Okinawa'
Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 18th that it will launch an EV rental car promotion called 'Hyundai Mobility Passport in Okinawa' targeting domestic travelers visiting Okinawa.
This promotion is a campaign to experience electric vehicles through travel and follows the launch of 'Hyundai Mobility Passport in KONA' in Hawaii last July, now expanding to the Okinawa region in Japan.
Hyundai planned this promotion by partnering with local rental car companies to increase opportunities for experiencing Hyundai electric vehicles in Okinawa, Japan, where public transportation infrastructure is insufficient and rental cars are essential.
Those interested in using this promotion can make rental car reservations through Hyundai’s website starting today.
Hyundai will operate the Kona EV and Ioniq 5 as vehicles for this promotion. To address inconveniences customers face when using rental cars during overseas trips, benefits such as ▲premium VIP insurance ▲unlimited EV charging card (for fast charging only) ▲unlimited highway toll card will be provided.
A Hyundai official said, "Through this promotion, we hope customers can travel without worries about transportation and experience the excellent product quality of Hyundai electric vehicles, including advanced driver assistance systems that enable comfortable driving in unfamiliar foreign driving environments."
