From 7 p.m., the main events will take place, including the Buddha's Birthday celebration ceremony, a lantern parade, and cultural performances, offering a rich experience for visitors. The highlight of the festival, the Nakhwanori (falling flower play), will light up the night, providing a meaningful moment to wish for hope in the world and peace in our hearts.

Having established itself as a hub for community revitalization and cultural arts, the Suncheon Lotus Lantern Festival is expected to create lasting memories not only for local residents but also for tourists.
Meanwhile, the Lotus Lantern Festival has continued for a thousand years, preserving past teachings while embracing creativity and change, and has been recognized as a cultural heritage of harmony. In December 2020, it was inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Nakhwanori is a traditional ritual with a long history, enjoyed by people as they watch charcoal embers fall on the night of Jeongwol Daeboreum, Buddha's Birthday, or the night before.
