for the 15th Goheung Space Aviation Festival
in Gwangju and Suncheon

In anticipation of the 'Goheung Space Aviation Festival' taking place from May 3 to 6, a special event will be held in Gwangju and Suncheon to heighten the festive atmosphere.

Goheung County in Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Youngmin) announced on the 18th that it will hold the 'Space Popup Show' at Gwangju U Square on the 20th and at Suncheon Station Plaza on the 27th to boost excitement for the festival.

Ahead of the 'Goheung Aerospace Festival' held from May 3 to 6, special events that will greatly enhance the festival atmosphere will take place in Gwangju and Suncheon. Provided by Goheung County

The Space Popup Show is a special opportunity to experience the charm of the festival in the city in advance. It is a promotional program designed to raise interest in the Goheung Space Aviation Festival and attract more visitors.

At this popup show, the large astronaut sculpture 'Nanuri Planet Exploration Captain,' created as a symbol of the festival, will be unveiled for the first time, drawing significant attention. There will also be lively astronaut dance performances to directly engage with citizens and encourage participation in the festival.

A county official stated, "Goheung is the starting point and center of space development in Korea. We hope that through this Space Popup Show, more citizens will learn about Goheung's space festival and that family visits will become more active."

Meanwhile, the 15th Goheung Space Aviation Festival will be held under the slogan "The Great Leap of Humanity, From Earth Civilization to Space Civilization" from May 3 to 6 at the Naro Space Science Museum and surrounding areas. During the festival, various programs will be offered, including tours of the launch site, an exhibition of the actual Naro rocket, hands-on space experiences, science exhibitions and activities such as a space rover experience with KAIST, space food tasting, and an astronaut carnival.
