NVIDIA's Jensen Huang Invited by Chinese Government for Visit to China... First Time in 3 Months Since Early Year Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA

Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, is reported to have visited China for the first time in three months at the invitation of the Chinese government.

According to 'WeYuanTanTian,' a social media account affiliated with China Central Television (CCTV) on the 17th, CEO Huang arrived in Beijing at the invitation of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). This marks Huang's first visit to China since January this year, three months ago.

In January, he visited NVIDIA branches in Taiwan and China. On January 19, the day before the inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump, he attended the Spring Festival event at the Beijing branch and gave a speech on artificial intelligence (AI), and later visited Shanghai as well.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced earlier this month that new export licensing requirements will be applied when exporting NVIDIA's H20 chips to China. The H20 chip was the lowest-spec semiconductor chip not subject to export restrictions to China, but this new measure has now blocked even this export route.
