"Unite Behind the Candidate Who Upholds Conservative Values"
Former Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Moon-soo, who is running in the June 3 presidential election, said on the 17th, "Our former President Yoon Seok-yeol is currently undergoing trial, and I hope he receives a fair trial, regains his freedom, and that a time comes when he can live happily with the people."
At the opening ceremony of the 'Kim Moon-soo Victory Camp' held at the Daehwa Building in Yeouido, Seoul, on the afternoon of the same day, Kim made these remarks during the congratulatory speech by lawyer Seok Dong-hyun, who was part of the defense team for former President Yoon Seok-yeol's impeachment trial.

Lawyer Seok said, "We do not believe that we lost power because of our mistakes," adding, "President Yoon was someone who threw himself into the national emergency crisis that threatened the country." He emphasized, "The entire free-right camp must unite to protect the government that was taken away."
He continued, "In these turbulent times, I believe a great person must become a candidate in this unavoidable election," and appealed, "Although former President Yoon is currently unable to speak, he supports preventing impeachment and asks the asphalt patriotic citizens to unite their strength behind candidate (Kim Moon-soo), who upholds conservative values."
At the camp opening ceremony that day, more than 20 lawmakers, including People Power Party leaders such as Kwon Young-se and Kwon Seong-dong, as well as lawmakers Park Soo-young, Song Eon-seok, Park Dae-chul, and Cho Bae-sook, attended to show their support.
Floor leader Kwon Seong-dong said, "The spirit of this presidential election is national normalization," adding, "To achieve normalization, Lee Jae-myung must be ousted, and since candidate Kim has taken on this great mission, I hope for much support." Lawmaker Park Dae-chul said, "I sincerely hope we unite around Kim Moon-soo."
Former Minister Kim said, "I came out to turn the despair of young people into hope." He explained, "Because young people cannot get the jobs they want, they cannot marry, cannot have children, cannot build families, and the number of suicides is increasing," adding, "It is the role of politics to solve these issues."
He went on, "North Korea, China, and Russia are all great powers and possess nuclear weapons," emphasizing, "To deal with these three countries, the Korea-US alliance must be strong, and we must also cooperate with Japan." Former Minister Kim also promised, "By 2030, five years from now, I will make Korea the world's third-largest AI (artificial intelligence) country."
