The Gwangju Regional Veterans Affairs Office's Center for Discharged Soldiers Support announced on the 17th that it had conducted on-site counseling tours to support the career transition of discharged soldiers residing in seven local governments in the eastern region of Jeollanam-do.
This counseling tour featured the participation of the human resources manager from WithPS Co., Ltd., a company specializing in high-output generators and power supply devices. They discussed the current employment market in the eastern Jeollanam-do region and strategies for job seekers, providing young discharged soldiers in their 20s and 30s with an opportunity to lay the groundwork for their career transition.
In addition, guidance was provided on the 'Vocational Competency Development Training Subsidy' to help participants actively utilize support for preparing the necessary skills for job searching. The training subsidy assists with public recruitment exams and national technical and functional license acquisition processes related to employment and entrepreneurship goals.
An official from the Gwangju Regional Veterans Affairs Office stated, "The counseling tour is conducted on-site to improve regional accessibility and provide more practical support for the stable reintegration of discharged soldiers into society," adding, "We will continue to enhance convenience by offering support systems tailored to the circumstances of discharged soldiers and providing customized employment and entrepreneurship counseling."
