Accelerating Commercialization After Rejecting Meta's Acquisition Offer
Expanding Renegade Distribution Through Launch on Microsoft Marketplace
AI semiconductor company FuriosaAI has launched its second-generation AI inference accelerator, Renegade (RNGD), on Microsoft's Azure Marketplace. Previously, the company had rejected Meta's acquisition offer and announced its intention to independently develop AI chips. By introducing Renegade on Microsoft's marketplace, which holds the second-largest share of the global cloud market, FuriosaAI plans to expand its distribution.
FuriosaAI announced the official launch of Renegade on the Azure Marketplace, stating on the 17th that "Azure users can now easily utilize high-performance AI infrastructure by leveraging Renegade."

According to FuriosaAI, Renegade is a next-generation AI accelerator designed for data centers to efficiently perform inference for large language models (LLM) and multimodal models. It was first introduced at the global semiconductor conference 'Hot Chips 2024' in August last year and has since attracted significant attention from the global tech industry.
Renegade is optimized for various environments including cloud-centric, on-premises, and hybrid setups, making it versatile for multiple purposes. Additional advantages include ▲ deployment of inference production environments within seconds ▲ flexible scaling of inference infrastructure according to demand ▲ seamless integration with existing Azure data.
FuriosaAI plans to focus on the 'popularization of Renegade' regardless of the size of its customers, leveraging the Azure Marketplace launch. The company is currently conducting product evaluations of Renegade with domestic and international corporate clients and has begun large-scale mass production through collaboration with the global leading foundry TSMC.
A FuriosaAI representative emphasized, "The integration of Renegade with Azure is a significant milestone in realizing our vision of providing efficient AI inference infrastructure accessible to everyone," adding, "From startups to large enterprises, users will be able to easily and quickly secure the necessary performance without complex AI infrastructure."
