Woori Bank announced on the 17th that, together with Korea Trade Network, it has established the 'Import Transaction Supporting Document Attachment File Transmission Service' for export-import companies using electronic trade services (EDI), the first of its kind in the banking sector.
Until now, when applying for import transactions such as △import letter of credit issuance △condition changes △issuance of import cargo advance guarantee certificates, companies had to submit supporting documents via fax or email, and branches had to print these out again to process the tasks separately, causing inconvenience.
With the introduction of this service, supporting documents can now be submitted as attachment files, simplifying procedures and significantly reducing processing time. This is expected to drastically reduce the workload of import company personnel.
Meanwhile, Woori Bank implemented the 'Foreign Currency Payment Guarantee Service' in July 2023 to enhance convenience for EDI users, and in July last year, introduced the 'Overseas Remittance Supporting Document Attachment File Transmission Service.'
A Woori Bank official stated, "Woori Bank has continuously improved the EDI process to enhance convenience for export-import customers," adding, "We will continue to cooperate with Korea Trade Network to increase business efficiency for corporate clients."
