Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam is focusing its administrative efforts to ensure that election affairs are carried out perfectly in a fair and clean environment during the short 60-day period leading up to the 21st Presidential Election to be held on June 3.

Changwon Special City Mobilizes All-Out Efforts for Fair Election Ahead of Presidential Election Hong Sunyoung, Director of the Autonomous Administration Bureau, is giving a briefing related to the presidential election.

The city is operating the "Fair Election Support Situation Room," which oversees all election affairs, providing personnel, budget, and equipment support to district offices, towns, townships, and neighborhoods. It is also establishing close cooperative systems with relevant agencies such as the local election commission and the police to ensure swift responses to various incidents and accidents.

The "Fair Election Support Situation Room," along with district offices, towns, townships, and neighborhoods, is fully prepared to carry out statutory duties such as compiling the voter list and receiving reports for absentee voting. Real-time communication with the local election commission is expected to enhance the accuracy and speed of operations.

Externally, it will actively utilize online and offline promotional media to encourage voter participation and continuously expand public consensus on fair elections among citizens.

Hong Sunyoung, Director of the Autonomous Administration Bureau, stated, "The 21st Presidential Election is expected to draw more attention than ever," and added, "As this election is under great scrutiny, we will actively support the smooth execution of election affairs and establish strong discipline among public officials to ensure strict political neutrality."
