T'way Air Conducts Safety Inspection of Passenger and Cargo Transport at Frankfurt Airport

Quality Audit Conducted for Passenger and Cargo Transportation

T'way Air recently announced on the 17th that it conducted a quality audit and safety inspection of passenger and cargo transportation operations at Frankfurt Airport in Germany. This was to ensure the stability and efficiency of passenger and cargo transportation on the Incheon~Frankfurt route, one of the long-haul European routes, and to directly verify the on-site operational status.

T'way Air conducted a multifaceted inspection of key airline operation elements, including local branch operations, partner management, application of safety manuals, staff training, and crisis response systems.

The quality of passenger transportation focused on whether the airport staff were appropriately assigned and their roles properly divided, and whether manuals and work guidelines were effectively implemented on-site. They also closely examined whether related regulations, such as hazardous materials rules and restrictions on passengers occupying emergency exit rows, were being followed during the boarding process. They checked the on-site staff’s familiarity with aviation safety and security reporting procedures, the branch’s education management system, and the composition and evaluation methods of training materials. The management status of ground handling equipment and compliance with handling procedures were also thoroughly verified.

In the cargo transportation quality inspection, the adequacy of maintenance and management of handling company facilities and equipment, as well as the provision of cargo storage facilities, were examined. It was also checked whether related job training and cargo handling procedures complied with international regulations and the airline’s own rules, and whether security screening and preemptive measures for hazardous item importation were properly conducted. During cargo acceptance, measures were taken to prevent undeclared hazardous materials from being brought in, and it was confirmed that actual loading operations were carried out in accordance with relevant regulations, with the handling company thoroughly performing inspections before loading cargo onto the aircraft and final checks after loading.

Based on continuous and systematic safety inspections, T'way Air reported that since launching the Incheon~Frankfurt route on October 3 last year, it has transported approximately 38,000 passengers and 1,300 tons of cargo to date. Additionally, the airline plans to increase the current four weekly flights (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday) to six weekly flights starting at the end of this month, and to operate daily flights (seven times a week) from the end of next month.

A T'way Air official stated, "Through thorough on-site inspections of the currently operating long-haul routes, we were able to further enhance overall operational stability," adding, "We will continue to do our best to prioritize safe operations and ensure customer service satisfaction."
