Gyeongbuk Province announced that 'Curesing', a local company fostered through the Gyeongbuk Local Change-Up Project, will participate in the 23rd World Korean Business Convention (WKBC).

The World Korean Business Convention, held from the 17th to the 20th for four days in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, is a global economic network event that began in 2002. Curesing, participating this time, is a prime example of the 'Gyeongbuk Local Change-Up' project, which provided systematic support for the entire process from discovering startup items to branding, promotion, and marketing.

The Gyeongbuk Local Change-Up Project, launched in 2023, aims to foster creative local creators and companies based on regional resources and culture. It has provided step-by-step support, including operating a local business school, supporting outstanding trainees' startups, promotion and marketing, and market development.

'Curesing', selected for the 2024 Gyeongbuk Local Change-Up, is knocking on the door of the US market with its 'Ttemigo' brand of exfoliating towels, which modernizes Korea's bath culture.

The Ttemigo exfoliating towel is a functional product designed to gently remove dead skin cells without irritation, having completed low-irritation skin tests by utilizing rayon. It features differentiated materials and design compared to existing bath products, combining both practicality and aesthetics.

Already verified by Korean consumers through the Muji 'Connected Market', the 'focus on Gyeongbuk' Seongsu-dong pop-up store, and the well-known lifestyle store 'Nemone', Ttemigo plans to promote rayon and K-bath culture to the world through this convention.

Jung Sunghyun, Director of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Policy Bureau for the Local Era, stated, "This is an excellent example of moving from local to glocal through the modern reinterpretation of rayon," and added, "We will continue to support companies utilizing Gyeongbuk's regional resources to advance into the global market."
