Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Organization (President Kim Namil) announced that it will hold a special on- and offline event, 'Meating Galjido', from the 18th to November 30th to widely promote the excellence of Gyeongbuk beef and to vitalize gastronomic tourism.

The event name 'Meating Galjido' is an ambivalent expression that combines 'Meeting' and 'Meat', symbolizing the starting point of a special culinary journey centered around Gyeongbuk beef.

The organization expects this event, composed of immersive content focused on consumer participation, to simultaneously boost the local economy and tourism. The main participation programs are as follows.

If participants visit Gyeongbuk beef restaurants featured in 'Meating Galjido', upload a photo of their meal along with a verification shot on the official event page, they will be entered into a draw to win generous prizes such as Hanwoo gift sets and mobile vouchers.

Anyone can participate by sharing the event on their personal SNS with the required hashtags (#GastronomicTourismGyeongbuk #BeefTourismGyeongbuk #MeatingGyeongbuk, etc.), and winners will be selected through a draw to receive abundant prizes.

If a participant recommends a hidden Gyeongbuk beef restaurant not listed in 'Meating Galjido', they will also be entered into a draw for special gifts. Through this, the vivid culinary experiences of locals and tourists will be reflected in the content.

In particular, this event is structured around content that consumers can directly participate in and enjoy, and is expected to have a tangible effect on local beef consumption and tourism revitalization. Especially, for participants who visit the five cities and counties of Uiseong, Andong, Yeongdeok, Cheongsong, and Yeongyang, which were recently affected by wildfires, additional prizes will be drawn, conveying a message of support for the speedy recovery of these regions through the event.

Kim Namil, President of the organization, stated, "'Meating Galjido' is a new type of gastronomic tourism content where you can experience the taste, style, and stories of Gyeongbuk beef, which boasts the largest Hanwoo cattle population in the country," adding, "In the upcoming May, we also plan to hold on-site promotions for consumers at the restaurants featured in 'Meating Galjido'."
