The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province is recruiting four small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to participate in the '2025 Germany Berlin Consumer Electronics Fair (IFA)' until May 2.
IFA is Europe's largest consumer electronics trade show, held in Berlin from September 7 to 9. It is a global exhibition attracting over 220,000 buyers from 139 countries worldwide, showcasing consumer electronics products integrated with advanced technologies such as smart homes, AI (artificial intelligence), and mobile devices. This year, under the theme 'Innovation For All,' the event will focus on innovative technologies for sustainable living.
Suwon City plans to operate the 'Suwon City Pavilion' on-site to introduce products from local companies and provide opportunities for export consultations.
Participating companies will be provided with an independent booth of 9㎡, with 90% of the booth rental and installation costs covered, along with a customized support fund of up to 3 million KRW (for interpretation, transportation, airfare, etc.). Companies are responsible for 10% of the booth costs and other accommodation expenses.
The recruitment target is startup and small manufacturing companies located in Suwon City. Non-manufacturing distribution companies or those receiving support from other organizations for the same exhibition are excluded from eligibility.
A Suwon City official stated, "This is a great opportunity to showcase the technological capabilities and competitiveness of Suwon companies on the international stage," adding, "We hope companies aiming to expand exports and explore overseas markets will participate."
