Samsung Electronics has maintained its global No. 1 position in the gaming monitor market for six consecutive years since first achieving the top spot in 2019.

According to market research firm IDC on the 17th, Samsung Electronics recorded a 21.0% market share by revenue in the global gaming monitor market (with a refresh rate of 144Hz or higher) in 2024.

Samsung Electronics led the gaming monitor market with new products such as the Odyssey Ark, Odyssey OLED, and Odyssey 3D. In particular, it achieved a record high with a 27.5% revenue share in the 2024 North American gaming monitor market, securing the No. 1 position.

At the end of March, Samsung Electronics held the 'eXperience 2025' event in Fairmont Austin, Texas, inviting major North American clients and showcasing a large lineup of new gaming monitors including the Odyssey 3D, Odyssey OLED G8, and Odyssey G9.

Last year, Samsung Electronics also secured the No. 1 position in the global OLED monitor market for the second consecutive year with a 34.6% revenue share. According to IDC, OLED monitor shipments reached 1.24 million units last year, growing more than 16 times compared to 2022.

Samsung Electronics strengthened its OLED monitor lineup by newly introducing the 27-inch and 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8 models. In particular, the 27-inch OLED G8 supports 166 PPI (pixels per inch) to provide dense image quality and features OLED Glare Free technology to reduce light reflection, maximizing gaming immersion.
