Guro-gu (Mayor Jang In-hong) is recruiting students for the 'Smart Landscaping Technician Training Course' and the 'Electrician Certification Course' as part of the Guro-type job project.

The district operates an educational program that supports the entire process from obtaining certifications to on-site training, customized employment counseling, and job placement to enhance local residents' employment competitiveness and cultivate practical technical talents that meet industry demands.

The 'Smart Landscaping Technician Training Course' targets 25 Guro-gu residents aged 18 and older and will be held at the Seoul Metropolitan Technical Education Institute Southern Campus from May 19 to August 21.

The training runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and consists of practical courses such as △ landscaping management △ planning and design △ drone theory and practice.

The 'Electrician Certification Course' is designed for 20 job seekers aged 19 and older and aims to train professionals in the field of electrical wiring work.

The course includes practical training and theoretical education on electrical wiring work such as △ piping and wiring work △ heating and lighting work △ equipment installation work, and will be held at Sudo Vocational School from May 19 to July 28.

Both courses are free of charge, and support is provided through customized counseling to connect students to employment. Students are finally selected through document screening and interviews.

Applications for the 'Smart Landscaping Technician Training Course' can be submitted on the Guro-gu Office and Technical Education Institute websites by May 12, and for the 'Electrician Certification Course,' applicants can apply by phone consultation followed by a visit to Sudo Vocational School by May 14.

Mayor Jang In-hong stated, "We will actively promote various job support projects so that Guro-gu residents can gain competitiveness in the job market," adding, "In particular, this training course will be a great opportunity to provide residents with a practical foundation for economic independence."
