[Breaking] One Missing Crew Member Found in Steering Room During Underwater Search of Sunken Seo Kyungho

Yeosu Coast Guard (Chief Kim Giyong) announced that at 11:43 a.m. on the 16th, a civilian diver deployed to the site discovered one unidentified missing crew member in the wheelhouse of the 22 Seogyeongho, which had sunk about 80 meters underwater.

The Coast Guard is currently transporting the missing person using a patrol vessel and will proceed with identification procedures afterward.


The 22 Seogyeongho sank at 1:41 a.m. on February 9, in waters 20 nautical miles east of Geomundo, Yeosu. At the time, out of 14 people on board, 4 were rescued, 5 died, and 5 went missing.
