Hongseong County to Host 'A Bundle of Children's Day Gifts' at Hongju Millennium Culture Experience Center

Various Events Including Cake, Cheese Pork Cutlet, and Pizza Making from May 3 to 5

Hongseong County in Chungnam Province announced on the 16th that it will operate a special Children's Day program, "Hongju Millennium Children's Day Gift Bundle," at the Hongju Millennium Cultural Experience Center for three days from May 3 to 5, in celebration of Children's Day and Parents' Day.

During the period when the special Children's Day program is held, the county's representative festival, the "Historical Figures Festival," will also take place on May 3 and 4 in the area surrounding Hongju Eupseong, where the Hongju Millennium Cultural Experience Center is located, adding to the enjoyment.

The "Hongju Millennium Children's Day Gift Bundle" program includes a variety of activities: a delicious gift bundle where children can make, taste, and take home cakes, cheese pork cutlets, and pizza; a pretty gift bundle where they can make Moru dolls dressed in Hanbok and create pottery using a spinning wheel; making Moru, mother-of-pearl, and glass art carnations as gifts for parents; and making sock massage sticks, among others.

Applications for participation are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis on the Hongseong County Office website from the 17th to the 24th.

There is no fee to participate in the program experience, but participants must cover the cost of materials required for the activities.

Kim Taegi, head of the Culture and Tourism Division, said, "To celebrate the first Children's Day since the opening last year, we have prepared a program that will be a happy gift for children and an opportunity to reflect on the grace of parents. I hope this will be a precious time for many families enjoying the special program at the Hongju Millennium Cultural Experience Center and the Historical Figures Festival to appreciate the importance of family."
