Gwangju Seo-gu Selects Two Villages for Village Enterprise Development Project

Selected as Top Village Enterprises in Ministry of the Interior and Safety Project

Seo-gu District in Gwangju City announced that in the 2025 Village Enterprise Promotion Project, hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Hannuri Kkotdam Co., Ltd. was selected as a 'Moduae Village Enterprise', the highest grade, and Design Human Cooperative was selected as an 'Excellent Village Enterprise'.

According to Seo-gu on the 16th, Hannuri Kkotdam Co., Ltd. (CEO Jang Chunhwa), selected as a Moduae Village Enterprise, has been led mainly by multicultural immigrant women and has contributed to revitalizing the local economy and realizing social value through various businesses such as producing floral crafts and operating multicultural restaurants.


Design Human Cooperative (CEO Noh Minyoung), selected as an Excellent Village Enterprise, is taking the lead in creating green environments and promoting emotional healing in the region by producing floral displays and creating jobs for middle-aged individuals and women with career interruptions.


Additionally, through horticultural experience programs for local residents, it is gaining attention as an innovative model that creates warm spaces connecting people and plants within the city.


With this selection, Hannuri Kkotdam Co., Ltd. will receive 100 million KRW and Design Human Cooperative will receive 70 million KRW in support funds, which will be used to advance their businesses and ensure sustainable growth through new product development and corporate branding.


Kim Ikang, head of Seo-gu District, stated, "This selection is an achievement that recognizes the excellence and sustainability of local village enterprises," and added, "We will continue to support strengthening their independence and restoring the community."


Jang Chunhwa, CEO of Hannuri Kkotdam, said, "This selection is a great encouragement for our efforts, and we will work even harder so that immigrant women can become established members of the local community."


Noh Minyoung, CEO of Design Human Cooperative, said, "I am pleased that our efforts to create spaces that provide comfort and rest to people through plants have been recognized. We will continue to grow together with the local community."
