Sweet Spot, "Establishing a Popup Waste Recycling System"

Business Agreement with Eco-Friendly Platform 'PopUpCycle'

Sweet Spot announced on the 16th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the upcycling platform 'PopUpCycle' to jointly establish an eco-friendly system that recycles materials from pop-up store dismantling through a secondhand trading method.

The two companies will collaborate over six months until October in three stages: ▲material collection ▲designing an online platform distribution structure ▲consumer marketing reflecting environmental sensitivity. The collection targets are limited to reusable items such as small furniture, display props, and lighting, excluding materials related to personal information, IP, and brand intellectual property rights.

Through this collaboration, Sweet Spot plans to assess the effectiveness and operational sustainability of the recommerce structure and consumer response, and establish ESG-centered eco-friendly operational standards to apply to its business model in the mid to long term.

Kim Jeong-su, CEO of Sweet Spot, stated, "The waste issue arising after the end of pop-up stores has been a consistent environmental challenge across the industry. Through this collaboration, we aim to establish responsible waste management standards and create an industry best practice by converting the one-time use of pop-up store materials into recycling and reuse."
