Ottogi announced on the 16th that it has launched four new microwaveable ready-to-eat meal products.

The products consist of four types: Yukjeup Gadeuk Tteokgalbi, Red Chili Meatballs, Boneless Mackerel Kimchi Stew, and Soy Sauce Braised Pork Ribs. They can be heated in the microwave for just 1 minute and 30 seconds for immediate consumption. Yukjeup Gadeuk Tteokgalbi uses 100% domestically produced pork and features the texture of tteokgalbi with a garlic soy sauce. The Red Chili Meatballs also use 100% domestically produced pork and include chili sauce. The Boneless Mackerel Kimchi Stew combines Norwegian mackerel with 100% domestically aged kimchi. The Soy Sauce Braised Pork Ribs contain 100% domestically produced pork and potatoes.

The package design has also been changed. It was changed from a horizontal to a vertical format, emphasizing the product image and features.

An Ottogi representative said, "Based on Ottogi’s long-accumulated know-how in shelf-stable ready meals, we have introduced new products to allow consumers to enjoy convenient meals," adding, "These products will be perfect for single-person households or consumers who want to enjoy simple meals at home."
