AI-Equipped Hyundai AutoEver Next-Generation Navigation Wins Grand Prize at Seoul Mobility Awards

Grand Prize in Mobility Service Category
Enhanced Driver Convenience Using AI Technology
Equipped with Proprietary Voice Assistant Character "ever"

Hyundai AutoEver announced on the 16th that its next-generation navigation system utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) won the Grand Prize in the Mobility Service category at the Seoul Mobility Awards. The system was recognized for its technological innovation through a customer-centric user experience and interface.

The Seoul Mobility Awards were held as a side event of the '2025 Seoul Mobility Show,' which took place from the 4th to the 13th of this month at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. The event was organized to discover innovative mobility technologies such as autonomous driving and connected cars. Hyundai AutoEver received the Grand Prize in the Mobility Service category among 10 companies that passed the preliminary round.

Hyundai AutoEver’s next-generation navigation system is characterized by enhancing driver convenience through generative AI technology. They developed their own voice assistant character, 'ever,' allowing drivers to control the vehicle system as if having a natural conversation. Ever responds to route search questions like "Where am I now?" and understands conversational commands such as "The map is too bright. Can you change it to a dark map?" to control the vehicle system according to the driver’s wishes.

Another strength of Hyundai AutoEver’s next-generation navigation is augmented reality (AR). The AR navigation feature constructs three-dimensional (3D) graphics of major terrain landmarks, showing the road situation ahead exactly as it appears to the driver. This allows for more intuitive guidance. Additionally, it provides detailed instructions using lane-level guidance technology developed in-house.

The development of Hyundai AutoEver’s next-generation navigation was led by the Navigation Experience Innovation Team within the Navigation Business Division. This team has filed a total of seven patents, including the 'Generative AI-based Route Recommendation Method,' which has been recognized for its technological originality.

Hyundai AutoEver plans to enhance the competitiveness of its infotainment system by leveraging the next-generation navigation and will proceed with future applications in consultation with client companies. Earlier, at CES 2025, the world’s largest consumer electronics and IT exhibition held in January this year, Hyundai AutoEver introduced the next-generation navigation integrated into Hyundai Mobis’s infotainment system to potential customers.

Seo Dong-kwon, head of Hyundai AutoEver’s Navigation Business Division, emphasized, "We will continuously advance customer-centric navigation software services based on differentiated technological capabilities."
