Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, Encourages 'Nuguna Dance Festival' on Disability Day

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, attended the '3rd Sarameul Bora - Anyone Dance Festival' held at Club Ocean in Hongdae on the afternoon of April 15th, in celebration of the 45th Disabled Persons Day.

This event was planned to provide people with disabilities new opportunities to enjoy culture and to create a stage where they could freely showcase their hidden talents and abilities.

The dress code for the day was 'purple,' which symbolized not just a color but also the meaning of 'seeing' the person themselves rather than the disability, making the event even more meaningful.

About 200 people with disabilities using welfare facilities in Mapo District participated and enjoyed the unique young and free atmosphere of Hongdae.

The event was held under the theme of 'club dance.' The main programs included 'Dance Time' with participants wearing fluorescent bracelets, performances by professional dance teams, dance competitions among participants, and a raffle that added excitement to the event.

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, said, "I believe a country where everyone is happy is an advanced country," and added, "Safety is the first and second priority, so I hope today will be a time when everyone can enjoy themselves safely and happily."
