The video was filmed in the Kerala region of India and shows a local company boss putting a leash on an employee's neck and ordering them to walk on all fours. The video quickly spread through SNS and other platforms, sparking outrage among netizens.
According to the local police investigating the incident, it occurred within the Indian marketing company 'Keltra.' The video was reportedly recorded about six months ago by an employee who has since resigned.
The media cited testimony from a former employee, describing this "leash abuse" as "a punishment imposed on employees who fail to meet performance targets."
The boss's harsh treatment did not stop there. He also ordered employees to drink water from a pot like a dog, and investigations revealed that he had previously been arrested for a sexual assault case.
The incident also sparked controversy in Indian politics. Vasudevan Shivankuti, Kerala's Minister of Labor, called it "extremely shocking" and emphasized, "Such incidents must never happen again." He added, "I have ordered an investigation into the case and instructed the local labor commissioner to submit a report related to the incident."
