The Gwangju-Jeonnam Branch of the Korea Association for Children with Leukemia and Cancer (Chairman Choi Youngjun) announced on the 15th that it will hold a charity auction of sports stars' memorabilia in collaboration with the Gwangju Sports Council (President Jeon Gapsu) to support children with leukemia and cancer.

The auction will take place on the 19th at 2nd floor Gallery Hwahae of the Kimdaejung Convention Center, featuring the uniform and shoes of Paris Olympic badminton gold medalist An Seyoung. Other items include: ▲ hats and arrows from archery athletes An San and Choi Mison ▲ a Swansea City uniform from professional football player Ki Sungyueng ▲ a signed ball and team-signed uniform from Gwangju FC coach Lee Junghyo ▲ a hat from national ski jumper Kang Chilgu, among a total of 24 items up for auction.

This auction is a main event of the photo exhibition "Love Becomes Hope," which aims to raise awareness of childhood leukemia and cancer and is being held from the 14th of this month until the 2nd of next month. The memorabilia was donated by local sports stars, and all proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Gwangju-Jeonnam Branch of the Korea Association for Children with Leukemia and Cancer.

Jeon Gapsu, President of the Gwangju Sports Council, said, "I hope the athletes' warm hearts will give the children the courage to overcome their illness and achieve a full recovery. We will continue to expand our support and pay even more attention at the council level."

Chairman Choi Youngjun stated, "These items are filled with the sweat and determination of athletes who have achieved valuable victories, so the winners of the auction will be delighted, and it will also be a great encouragement to the children and families currently fighting illness."
