Customized Support for Local Companies
Gyeongbuk Technopark will hold a briefing session for the '2025 Gyeongbuk Province Aviation Industry Promotion Project' at 2 p.m. on the 17th in the Gyeongbuk TP International Conference Room, targeting companies in the province interested in entering the aviation industry.
This briefing session will cover Gyeongbuk TP's Aviation Industry Promotion Project as well as a session by the Air Force Logistics Command on the localization of aviation weapon system components and the development of maintenance capabilities.
The Gyeongbuk TP Aviation Industry Promotion Project consists of three main business areas: ▲ localization technology development for military and civil aviation components ▲ commercialization ▲ support for testing, evaluation, and certification.
Through this project, Gyeongbuk TP plans to focus on providing practical support from the early stages of technology development, considering the technology-intensive nature and high entry barriers of the aviation industry.
In addition, step-by-step support will be provided to help aviation companies enter not only the defense market but also the civilian market. Gyeongbuk TP will also support the priority participation of local companies in the combat support supplies business sector by linking relevant projects with the Air Force Logistics Command and collaborating with the Korea Procurement Research Institute.
In particular, Gyeongbuk TP plans to actively promote the discovery of projects in which local small and medium-sized enterprises can participate by creating opportunities for technology exchange between large defense companies and SMEs in the aviation defense sector.
A Gyeongbuk Technopark official said, "We hope that this aviation industry promotion project will provide new growth engines and market entry opportunities for companies in the Gyeongbuk region."
