Gurye County in Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Soonho) and Suyeong District in Busan (District Mayor Kang Seongtae) announced on the 15th that they held a joint workshop for the Gurye County and Suyeong District Community Social Security Councils at the Baekdudaegan Ecological Education Center in Gurye on the 11th.
This workshop was organized to enhance welfare capabilities and share best practices through interregional exchange and strengthened public-private cooperation. A total of 84 participants attended, including representatives and working committee members from the Gurye County and Suyeong District councils, as well as members of the township community social security councils.

The workshop began with a cultural performance by a local artist, followed by presentations on outstanding activities by the Gurye County and Suyeong District Community Social Security Councils. Participants also experienced local culture by visiting Cheoneunsa Temple and the Guman Reservoir Suspension Bridge, two of Gurye's most famous landmarks.
In particular, the event introduced Gurye County's 2025 public contest project "Happiness Sensation 100°C Welfare on the Move Season 3" and Suyeong District's "Happiness Recharge, Mind Recharge, New Middle-aged Life Rest Area Season 2." Participants also shared ideas on public-private cooperation to solve community issues.
Im Jaesin, the private chairperson of the Gurye County Community Social Security Council, said, "This joint workshop was a meaningful opportunity for the public and private sectors to learn together and explore directions for the development of local welfare," adding, "We will continue to build a welfare community that grows together through ongoing exchanges in the future."
