Suspect Arrested at Billiard Hall for Attempted Murder
Joint Investigation by Busan and North Jeolla Police
A man in his 40s was arrested after stabbing a woman he had previously dated and robbing her before fleeing the scene. This ruthless man was apprehended at a billiard hall in another region through a coordinated police investigation.
According to the Busan Saha Police Station on the 15th, at around 1:50 a.m. on the 14th, Mr. A attacked Ms. B, a woman in her 50s with whom he had been in a relationship, with a weapon in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Saha-gu, then fled after stealing approximately 1 million won in cash.
The police issued a wanted notice for Mr. A’s vehicle and tracked his movements, detecting that he had passed through Iksan, North Jeolla Province, at around 12:45 p.m. that day.
Upon receiving a request for joint investigation, the Iksan Police Station of the North Jeolla Provincial Police Agency urgently arrested Mr. A at a billiard hall in Songhak-dong, Iksan, at 2:55 p.m. on the 14th.
The Busan police took custody of Mr. A from the Iksan Police Station and, on the 15th, applied for an arrest warrant on charges of attempted murder.
