The 3rd Asan Yeonginsan Azalea Festival Postponed to the 26th

Blooming Delayed Due to Strong Winds and Rain

The 3rd Asan Yeonginsan Azalea Festival Postponed to the 26th

Asan City in Chungnam has postponed the '3rd Yeonginsan Azalea Festival', which was originally scheduled to be held at the Yeonginsan Arboretum Lawn Square on the 19th, to the 26th.

This postponement was decided as the blooming period has been delayed due to strong winds and rain.

With the schedule change, some of the performers have also been replaced. Trot singers Han Sanga and Lim Dongbun will perform as planned, but instead of the four-member crossover group Fomas, Park Seunghwa of Yurisangja will take the stage.

The festival will be operated without disposable containers to promote nature conservation and the spread of recycling culture. There will also be booths promoting carbon neutrality and the Year of Visiting Asan.

A city official said, "We postponed the event as the blooming period kept getting delayed," and added, "There will be a positive effect as it offers more options for tourists, coinciding with the Yi Sunshin Festival starting on the 25th."

Meanwhile, on the day of the event, nearby parking lots such as Yeongin Elementary and Middle Schools will be temporarily opened, and shuttle buses will also be operated.
