A travel agency official told Guangming.com, "Until the 25th, it will be the low season for spring travel, making it the best time for trips," adding, "Starting in May, the golden holiday will begin, and travel agencies are expected to engage in price wars." The official also advised, "If you have travel plans, it is best to secure discounted air tickets 3 to 5 days in advance."

Meanwhile, according to the Chinese government website, May 1 to May 5 has been designated as a public holiday period totaling five days. However, a compensatory workday is scheduled for Sunday, April 27.
