Yoon's Mentor: "Pragmatist Lee Jae-myung Has No Rival... Conservatives Are Just Acorn Height Contests"

Shin Pyeong: "Lee Jae-myung is an anti-establishment figure and a pragmatist"
"Unless a major 'rearrangement' is attempted,
the 'President Lee Jae-myung' scenario will become increasingly solidified"

Shin Pyeong, a lawyer known as "former President Yoon Seok-yeol's mentor," described Lee Jae-myung as an "anti-establishment figure" and praised him as a "pragmatist who dismantles the establishment to ensure that the people prosper evenly."

On the 13th, Shin opened his remarks on his Facebook by saying, "A massive tsunami named Lee Jae-myung is approaching." He stated, "There is no rival to him in terms of approval ratings. The other conservative candidates are like acorns competing in height," adding, "Yet they boast as if they can easily defeat Lee Jae-myung. It is truly ridiculous." He also predicted, "Unless a major 'rearrangement' is attempted, the 'President Lee Jae-myung' will become increasingly solidified."

Shin shared an anecdote from when Lee Jae-myung, former leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, was mayor of Seongnam City. Shin recalled that when he lamented, "Even though the government has changed, nothing seems to improve," Lee responded, "Aren't conservatives and progressives all the same guys? Those guys have taken turns forming the establishment and have been exploiting it until now."

Shin described Lee as a "clear anti-establishment advocate" and "a pragmatist who pursues dismantling the establishment so that the people can prosper evenly." He emphasized, "If Lee assumes power, I am confident that within a month he will resolve the medical crisis caused mainly by some medical professionals who have almost become 'establishment thugs,' refreshing the hearts of the people." He also evaluated, "Politics is not done alone but as a group. Among all presidential candidates across both ruling and opposition parties, Lee is unparalleled in discovering policies and managing political affairs while sharing fate with many talented individuals under his command."

On the 14th, Shin posted an additional message expressing frustration that "few understand my hidden intentions." He criticized, "Presidential candidates from the ruling party gathered with less than 10% support are zealously trying to 'erase Yoon Seok-yeol.' They raise baseless confidence by saying, 'It was Yoon Seok-yeol who was impeached, not conservatism,' interpreting the situation only in ways favorable to themselves."

He continued, "'They completely ignore the 'Lee Jae-myung tsunami' and flatter people to win their favor. Please, take a look at what advantages Lee Jae-myung has that differ from yours,'" raising his voice. He added, "With the presidential election approaching, Korea's conservative right wing is in a state where both hands and feet are tied inside and out, unable to move," and said, "The only way to break free from these shackles and avoid being swept away by the 'Lee Jae-myung tsunami' is for the people to loosen those shackles." Finally, Shin advised, "We must not fall into the foolish mental victory of thinking we can shoot down a fighter jet with a machine gun. I hope everyone quietly reflects with the mindset of 'know yourself and your enemy, and you will never be defeated in a hundred battles.'"
