Revitalizing the Hometown Love Donation Program
Activities Include SNS Promotions and More
On the 15th, Muju County in North Jeolla Province appointed the 'Muju Love Hometown Love County Promotion Group.'
According to the county, the promotion group was formed to revitalize the Hometown Love Donation Program and will play a role in encouraging participation in the program.
The appointment ceremony was attended by County Governor Hwang Inhong, as well as representatives from the Muju County Volunteer Center, Muju County Women's Association Council, Saemaeul Undong Muju County Branch, Muju County Village Leaders' Association, Muju County Sports Council, Muju County Farmers' Organization Council, Muju County Youth Policy Council, and the Muju-eup Youth Association?a total of eight organizations and about 20 related officials.
The members of the promotion group stated, "We will do our best to spread the message so that everyone can empathize with and participate in the Hometown Love Donation, which serves as a driving force for the development of our hometown and the happiness of its residents."
The promotion group is scheduled to be active for two years until April 2027, and plans to carry out various activities such as: expanding the atmosphere of participation in the Hometown Love Donation Program; promotional activities using SNS and various media; encouraging participation through building networks among organizations; on-site promotions and campaigns at various events; and promoting hometown love practices targeting children living in cities.
Meanwhile, the total amount of Hometown Love Donations collected by the county last year was 719 million won. To further revitalize the program, the county held a public contest to discover new fund projects and is making great efforts to discover the best return gifts, as well as to ensure quality, hygiene, and safe delivery.
The county offers a total of 72 types of return gifts for the Hometown Love Donation Program, ranging from 'My Hometown Re-donation Vouchers' to tourism services, agricultural and livestock products, processed foods, and more.
