Ulsan Superintendent Chun Changsoo Joins Campaign to Raise Awareness on Population Issues

Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education Superintendent Cheon Changsu participated in the "Relay Campaign for Raising Awareness on Population Issues," which was jointly planned and promoted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Human Resources Development Institute for Health and Welfare on the 11th.

This campaign is being conducted under the slogan, "Let us strive to make Korea a country where children are happy, youth foster hope, and the elderly find fulfillment."

This promotional activity is a relay campaign aimed at increasing social interest in population issues. It began in October last year, with key local figures participating in turn.

Currently, the Ulsan Office of Education is implementing various educational policies in response to low birth rates and an aging population, such as expanding support for free private kindergarten education up to age three, establishing the Ulsan-style integrated care system "Dubinnae," providing educational expenses for students from multi-child families, and offering entrance preparation funds for elementary school students.

Superintendent Cheon was nominated by Kim Jonghun, head of Dong-gu District, and recommended Kwon Myungho, CEO of Korea East-West Power, as the next participant.

Superintendent Cheon Changsu stated, "Low birth rates and an aging population are not just population issues, but comprehensive social challenges that our society must address together," and added, "The Office of Education will take a leading role in making Ulsan a great educational city for raising children."
