The 'Yeondeung Music Festival' will be held on the 19th at Jeongjo Hyogong Park and Yongjusa area in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do.
Hosted and organized by the Hwaseong-si Buddhist Temple Association, and supported by the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism's Yongjusa Temple and Hwaseong-si, this event is a local festival that families and citizens can enjoy together. The festival is divided into three parts: ▲ experiential culture ▲ lantern parade ▲ music performances.
At the experiential cultural event, about 25 booths offer various traditional and creative experiences such as making character lanterns and displaying wish lanterns. The lantern parade begins at 6:30 PM. In the lantern parade symbolizing the teachings of Buddha, visitors can enjoy colorful lanterns and share their hopes and wishes. Starting from 7 PM, a lantern music concert featuring popular singers such as Kang Moon-kyung, Yuk Joong-wan Band, Seo Ju-kyung, and Kwon Mi-hee will be held.
