Chungnam Pavilion to Feature 30 Promising SMEs
Showcasing Local Companies at the 2025 World Korean Business Convention in Atlanta
As the global economy remains tense due to the US-led tariff war, Chungnam Province has stepped forward to help local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) explore overseas markets.
Chungnam Province announced on the 15th that it will operate the 'Chungnam Pavilion' at the '2025 World Korean Business Convention' to be held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA from the 17th to the 20th.
This convention is an international economic event hosted by the Korean American Chamber of Commerce, with over 400 companies, more than 500 buyers, and around 5,000 Korean businesspeople from around the world expected to participate.
For this event, the province selected a total of 30 promising SMEs: 12 from Cheonan, 6 from Asan, 2 each from Boryeong, Dangjin, Geumsan, and Seocheon, and 1 each from Seosan, Nonsan, Cheongyang, and Yesan, to form the Chungnam Pavilion.
The participating companies will showcase a variety of products, including regional specialties such as red ginseng, seasoned seaweed, and salted shrimp, as well as cosmetics, K-pop merchandise, secondary battery production equipment, and medical imaging diagnostic systems, aiming to enter the North American market.
The Chungnam Pavilion will also feature a booth promoting 'Chungnam Visit Year 2025-2026', a business consultation booth operated by the Chungnam Economic Promotion Agency, and a booth by the Chungnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency, providing comprehensive support.
The province plans to offer participating companies opportunities for export consultations with overseas buyers and to help achieve tangible business results, such as securing placements in local stores.
Vice Governor Park Jungjoo said, "We hope this event will serve as a new breakthrough for local companies struggling with the strengthening of US protectionism," adding, "We will actively promote Chungnam's competitive products and technologies in the global market."
Meanwhile, the Korean American Chamber of Commerce was established in 1980 and continues to support Korean SMEs through export assistance, financial support, and organizing the World Korean Business Convention, among various economic activities.
