Korea Federation of SMEs Obtains Yellow Umbrella Information Security Management System (ISMS) Certification

"We Will Advance IT Services for the Mutual Aid Business"

The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business announced on the 15th that it has obtained the Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification for the Yellow Umbrella, a public pension system for small businesses and self-employed individuals.

The ISMS certification is the highest level of information security certification in Korea, granted by the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) under the Ministry of Science and ICT. It is awarded after a rigorous review to verify whether companies or public institutions have established and operate an information security management system.

Through this certification, Yellow Umbrella has been officially recognized for securely protecting key information assets such as customer information from risks like cyber terrorism and data leaks.

Kim Ki-moon, Chairman of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business, stated, "We will make this year the inaugural year of financial IT transformation by starting with the Yellow Umbrella ISMS certification and advancing IT services for the mutual aid business to enhance the trust of 3 million customers. To this end, we will establish a Digital Innovation Headquarters to significantly strengthen the financial IT functions of Yellow Umbrella and actively promote the digital transformation of small businesses and cooperatives."
